Hello everyone! My name is Jarrod Wilkening, or JWAir on the auction here, and I have been shooting Kodachrome slides since 1998. I started out shooting mostly military subjects, but post-September 11th, I have switched over to almost exclusively civil, however if a military aircraft presents itself at my airport, I will photograph it on Kodachrome. I currently work on the ramp for Southwest Airlines in Phoenix, Arizona. I take my camera and plenty of Kodachrome onto the ramp during my days off, and the great weather here gives me plenty of opportunities to shoot 50mm ramp shots! My interests vary widely I will usually shoot anything from the size of a twin Cessna and up as long as the skies are clear and the angle of the sunlight is perfect. In terms of what I collect, I am always looking for the following aircraft types Beech Queen Air / King Air, Beech 99 / 1900, Boeing 727, Fairchild Merlin / Metroliner, Rockwell Twin / Turbo Commander, and the Rockwell Sabreliner.
