We offer free image hosting for sellers. Simply upload your images to our server when you list your auction!
Quick Tips for Scanning Slides: If you have a slide scanner and are familiar with its use, for best
results we suggest scans be no greater than 750 pixels wide X 550 pixels high (approx). Use a compression level of 15 to yield an
image size of 50 - 90K, and use 150 dpi resolution. Maximum image size allowed for upload is 100K.
Save images as a standard baseline .jpg. Images should not be optimized (for quicker web site download) nor should
they be saved in progressive format as this will cause our image re-sizing software to malfunction.
How to name your .jpg images for slide auctions: We suggest naming each scan with the aircraft registration
followed by your initials. This convention makes it easy for you to find your images on your hard drive when uploading to out website
on the Sell Page. For example, Mike Smith would name a scan N880EVms.jpg. You should not use too long a name and
.jpg images should not have a space in the name (such as N880 EVms.jpg) otherwise our system will reject the upload.
Thumbnails: Our software will automatically resize your full-size image for the thumbnail presentation
so there is no need to prepare a seperate thumbnail scan.
New to scanning? On this page we have provided some basic information to help you display an image scan with your auction. Two steps are presented below. Click on each step to learn more about adding your images. Step 1. Capture the image electronically Step 2.
Edit the image
Step 1. Capture the image electronically
This step involves the process of "shooting" or "capturing" your item to create an electronic file of an image. You can create an electronic image yourself by using any of these digital
capturing equipment methods.

Step 2. Edit the image
Once you capture an image electronically, you can view and edit it with image editing software. Editing an image allows you to "crop" unnecessary details and
modify the image's dimension and graphic size so the image is small enough to download quickly when someone views your item. Some examples of image editing software are:
Adobe Photoshop
Corel Photopaint
Paint Shop Pro
Picture It!
PhotoDeluxe
Live Pix
Image editing software often comes packaged with digital capturing equipment.
