"A must for airline fans!"
Review by Henry Tenby
Skyliner is a new, all-color, high quality airline magazine
dedicated to meeting the information needs of hard core airline fans
like you. All articles are printed in both German and English, but do not think
for a second that the dual language content results in there being little to read.
Nothing could be further from the truth! This bi-monthly publication provides
readers with cover-to-cover reading that is a must for all serious
slide photographers, spotters and hard core airliner fans.
Skyliners is published in Germany by Christofer Witt, a fellow slide photographer, spotter
and world traveller. He knows exactly what other airline fans like you want to read about.
In each issue, you'll find fascinating trip reports from fellow airline fans that have
travelled to obscure and exotic destinations that you have always wanted to visit.
Whether it is Lagos, Japan, Iceland, Lima or Nepal, you'll get all the information that rarely
appears in other magazines: when to go, how to get there, where to stay, where to eat, details
on airport photographic opportunities, weather conditions, local customs, points of caution,
and useful tips to help plan your next airline photography adventure.
In-depth reports: HS-748
Each issue usually includes feature reports on a specific airline or the
airline scene within a specific country or region. These articles are lavishly
complemented with superb color photography of the related airliners, and the
depth of the articles goes far beyond what is typically found in mainstream
airline magazines. Aircraft registration news and a large selection of hot new
airliner photos is also included in each issue.
Skyliner is printed on high gloss, heavy stock paper with superb color
photo renditions. Each issue is typically between 56 and 60 pages, and there are
color photos on every single page. Becuase the magazine is new, it only comes out
6 times a year, but after you've read your first copy, you'll want it monthly!
Next time you go on an airline photo safari, don't forget to take plenty of
Kodachrome (or Fuji for those of you that have switched), suntan lotion, spare
camera batteries, a spare camera body, and your latest copy of Skyliner Magazine!
This airline magazine represents terrific value for all hard core airline fans.
You'll need to budget 1 - 2 hours of quiet time with your next issue to read this
baby cover-to-cover!
